I cannot put into words my admiration. Your work is so moving. I saw your exhibit at the Tacoma glass museum a few years ago. I am generally not a fan of glass art. But, my mother-in-law is and loves Chihuly. So, we went to the museum when she visited and they had to drag me away from your exhibit. When I think of it now it brings tears to my eyes. I wanted to set up a bed and live there amongst your work. Thank you for making me appreciate glass work like I never thought I would. I look forward to seeing it again one day. I have never dreamed of owning something so beautiful but now I hope one day I can. My best wishes to you. May you be blessed with continued inspiration. You are a gift.
Simply magic! Great artist among many fantastic native artists!
You are an amazing man as well as a great artist!
I love the spirit of cedar, with the wood colored glass suspended inside the more opaque layer. the work of a master. there is no one who would not be improved by attending a preston singletary exhibit. thanks for improving us all.
like nothing else!
My favorite piece in Echoes Fire Shadows was the Eagle Transformation Mask--it was hung at eye level for me, and as I gazed at it, this white 58 year old woman glimpsed magic.
Thank you.
Writing a paper on you right now...just thought you'd like to know
I visited the Echo, Fire and Shadow exhibit at the Tacoma Glass Museum and was moved beyond words to see such a respectful nod to tradition in a new and exciting way. If you can't afford the art, buy the book.
Absolutely amazed by your show in Tacoma. The raven pieces especially powerful. Thank you! EVA
I was both inspired and awed by the depth and scope of his work. His visions and execution are far and away the most exciting I have ever seen .. Kudos
Raven Steals the Moon is wonderful as is all Mr. Singletary's work. Going to the Blue Rain Gallery is one of the first things to do upon arriving in Taos. That and going to Mantes Chow Cart.
My favourite piece of art in the world is Raven Steals the Moon, I saw this at a museum in Seattle & from that moment on I think about the beauty of this piece. One day.... Bridget
Preston has brought the 21st century into native art - spectacular! Would he consider teaching?
I loved the Raven piece that was on the cover of the Smithsonian magazine (I think) . Is that piece available? I'm sure I couldn't afford it, but I like to dream about owning it!!!
Fantastic work cousin!
