Come celebrate new works by santero, Arthur Lopez. Leaving his career in graphic design over 15 years ago to pursue carving full-time, Lopez has become one of the most celebrated santeros working in Northern New Mexico today. Lopez creates bultos and retablos that honor the lives of the saints through fine carving, pigment, and non-traditional imagery that often blend humor, devotion, and social query.

Blue Rain Gallery is elated to announce an upcoming pottery show with famed Santa Clara Pueblo potter, Nancy Youngblood. For over three decades, Nancy Youngblood has been stunning collectors with her immaculate designs and superior technical skill. She has never been limited by the idea of tradition. From swirled rib melon jars to boxes embellished with carved nautilus shells and scallop shell forms, there has been few limits to her creativity.

Major Successes

It is no surprise to collectors that Tammy Garcia’s newest show in glass was a major success! In just two weeks of its release, all but a few pieces have sold. This collaboration, with glass artist, Shelley Muzylowski Allen marks another point of evolution in Tammy’s creativity and artistic scope. It’s not too late to collect a piece of history.

Blue Rain Gallery is proud to announce Preston Singletary’s first mid-career survey at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington. This exhibition, which contains works borrowed from major museums and private collections across the United States, illustrates Singletary’s artistic evolution over the past two decades and culminates in a dynamic new body of work created during his 2008 Visiting Artist Residency at the Museum of Glass.
