In folklore of watermen, it is told that when collecting crabs you can put as many in a bucket as you like. Every time a crab rallies himself to climb out and escape, the other crabs pull him back down and none of them ever makes it out. If however, you happen to put alligator hatchings together in a bucket, they cooperate and climb up each other’s back until they all get free. How do we treat those around us? Do we help each other or pull each other down? Are we crabs or gators?
