Tapestry of Life

Oil on board, Image: 18"h x 18"w, Frame: 24"h x 24"w, Item No. 22180,

Portrait of Erin of the Navajo Nation. Oil portrait with acrylic borders.

“Growing up on the Navajo national my life I was raised traditional. My elders and parents taught me my culture and most importantly my language. I wasn’t raised like most kids. I grew up with parents that are a bit older than others. My mother taught me what it means to be a Navajo woman and where my roots are, and my father taught me the values of hard work and where it can take you in life. They have instilled in the teachings about our Navajo way of life, therefore I see the world in a different perspective because in our culture everything has a spirit” – Erin Lewis Johns 8-9-2019 "
