Helen K. Tindel is currently enjoying a prestigious opportunity to exhibit her paintings alongside her mother’s, the late Margarete Bagshaw, at the New Mexico State Capital as part of the their new exhibition, “INHERITED INTENT: Painters and Their Daughters.” 

The exhibition features 3 talented families Jerry West and Vali West, Zachariah Rieke and Sialia Rieke, Margarete Bagshaw and Helen K. Tindel. Tindel is the living link to four generations of Native women painters descended from Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico. These women artists, in order of generational hierarchy are Pablita Velarde, Helen Hardin and Margarete Bagshaw.
